Use & care
Begin
with a little care
Take a little time before the first use.
Unpack on a dry, stable surface. Remove each protective layer and inspect the piece and its included parts. If you notice chips, cracks or anything unusual, contact Dong Hwa before using it.
Read the instructions for the specific product and follow its first-use cleaning advice. Soaking, boiling or other preparation should not be assumed to suit every ceramic item.

The right use
for each piece
A familiar shape does not tell the whole story.
Check the symbols and guidance for the exact product code before using it on a hob or in a microwave, oven or dishwasher. Read the limits and conditions as well as the symbols.
Avoid abrupt temperature changes and handle hot items carefully according to their instructions. If anything is unclear, ask before using it; a stated maximum temperature does not establish resistance to thermal shock.

A gentler
cleaning routine
Everyday habits help care for the pieces you love.
Use a soft cleaning tool and a cleaner suited to the item. For stuck-on food, follow its care instructions rather than scraping with sharp tools or using abrasive materials.
Rinse away cleaning residue and dry as instructed before storage. Stop using damaged or cracked pieces; avoid gluing, grinding or repairing food-contact items without appropriate guidance.

Store thoughtfully,
enjoy every day
Make each piece easy to reach and enjoy.
Keep storage dry and ventilated, stack tableware in manageable groups and leave room around handles. Store only when dry; a soft, clean, dry separator can help where surfaces rub together.
